The 2022 CCEP Conference took place on July 5th, at Coventry Transport Museum.
We were delighted with the amount of delegates who found time to attend, as well as with the quality of the presentations, workshops and contributions from the floor. Key presentations included surveys of the cultural strategic landscape from David Nuttall (Coventry City Council) and Josie Bamford (City of Culture Trust), as well as views of partnerships from Rhona Forde (Earlsdon Primary) and Karen Smith (Lyng Hall).
Young consultants from Positive Youth Foundation and Lyng Hall School provided delegates with an honest assessment of how cultural education needs to be more diverse and more accessible to meet the needs of young people in the city.
Our creative workshops were led by Teach / Make and Royal Opera House, both of whom gave delegates food for thought about approaches to creative learning. Our final 'partnership' session was led by Vortex-Creates, who will be working up delegates' contributions into an exciting new resource for teachers, creatives and cultural organisations.
