Discover in a Day. The CCEP's next round of Arts Award support is now open.
The CCEP has teamed-up with our friends at The Herbert and Coventry Transport Museum to offer a fully-funded 'Discover in a Day' offer to city primary schools and other settings.
Arts Award is a nationally recognised qualification for children and young people and is managed by Trinity College, London in association with Arts Council England. It offers a flexible framework for arts and cultural actvities as well as providing motvation and recognition for young peoples’ achievements.
What’s included in Discover in a Day? To achieve Arts Award Discover, children discover the arts around them, find out about artists and share their
experiences with others, gaining a certificate at the end.
The museums will provide:
- Arts Award resources
- 90-minute facilitated art workshop at the Herbert
- 60-minute self-led activity at Coventry Transport Museum
- Assessment of work by trained advisers
- Arts Award Discover certificates for each pupil
- A transport bursary of up to £200
